Attorney Philip E. Beard II
Since joining Stonecipher in 1990, Philip Beard has concentrated his practice in the areas of corporate, oil and gas and bankruptcy and insolvency law. Philip serves as general counsel to several of the firm’s corporate clients, and has handled various contract negotiations, sales and acquisitions for those clients.
Along with being Of Counsel to the firm and providing unique legal skills and expertise to the firm's growing oil & gas practice, Philip is an accomplished novelist. His first published novel, Dear Zoe (New York: Viking, 2005), was selected by Booklist, a magazine of the American Library Association, as one of the ten best first novels of 2005, and a year later the "delightful gem of a book" Lost in the Garden, a novel (New York: Viking, 2006), was published.
