History of Stonecipher Law Firm

The Stonecipher Law Firm began in 1908 as Stonecipher & Ralston. From its inception, it specialized in corporate, commercial and insolvency matters. In the 1930s it became Stonecipher & Cunningham and in 1962, with the addition of Philip E. Beard and Joseph E. Schmitt, two highly respected members of the bar, became Stonecipher, Cunningham, Beard & Schmitt, P.C. The firm continued its growth, adding lawyers and expanding its practice areas, and in 2009 the firm became Stonecipher Law Firm although the firm is often referred to by clients and counsel as simply "Stonecipher." Over its history, Stonecipher has not only refined and grown its original practice areas but has expanded its practice into other areas of the law and is known today for its diverse expertise in the fields of corporate, bankruptcy, litigation and oil & gas.
